When you have or throw a bachelorette party for your friend it can be loads of fun or it can just fall apart, especially if you decide to have a very risqu sort of party and your friend isn't the night on the town kind of gal. Before the party actually begins take the time to talk with the bride to be and find out what sort of party she's expecting. Does she want to go out clubbing? Or would she rather stay home with the girls? She may have been the party girl before getting into a relationship but things change and its entirely possible she's uncomfortable being a wild girl now. Talk to each of the guests or send them a little note with a few guidelines for the behavior that's expected at the bachelorette party. Someone may come dressed up in their tightest black dress only to find you all are staying in to play poker and smoke cigars. Or the bride may end up inviting seventy three year old Aunt Mary without telling you and you've lined up some exotic male dancing for the evening. So be sure to get a complete guest list before making your plans. If the party is going to be rowdy and you plan on going out line up some ways to play it safe. Make up party favor bags for the guests with stuff like condoms, prepaid phone cards, taxi cab money, aspirin, and emergency whistles in case the group gets separated. Or you can hire a limo to drive the whole group around for the evening, that way your group isn't walking around late at night, likely having drunken a little too much. Plus the limo drive, if he's a good driver will be able to keep an eye out for the groups safety. |
