First of all, before we do anything. Lets look at the meaning of the word content:

"Dictionary.com" Content: The subject matter of a written work, such as a book or magazine. Often used in the plural

Ok come on? That can't be what content means on the internet. It doesn't, because on the internet, content is a term used for everything written.

Everything Written? Online Newspapers, Magazines, Emails, E-zines, Search Queries/Results, Blogs, Advertisements, Directories, Articles. All Content.

Look at your Keyboard. Every time you type a key on the keyboard while on the internet, think of it as content, because it is. And without a keyboard, what would a computer be, better yet, what would a search engine be, would we all just sit in front of the computer, staring at the search engine while millions of pictures pass by before clicking on the exact picture we just had in mind.

This is why Search Engines NEED Content. It is the same reason recipricol linking isn't what it used to be, because at some point the search engine said, wait a second, I'm getting off track, if someone searches for something, we have to give it to them. They don't want a bunch of jumbled up links staring them in the face requesting a click.

So now do you understand why content is such a big part of search engines, and the internet?

I run a small home business opportunity website, that is tailored to my customers, with minimal recipricol links, and a small section with articles, and links to websites with a lot of "content".

So how do you create content that will drive your page to the top of the search engines?

Easy, There are tons of options.

Start writing your own Ezine, create a small link back to your website, subscribers of your ezines are seeing your website, host your ezine and your doing even better.

Start writing your own articles with a small link back to your website, host them on your website, and submit them to article directories. You are creating recipricol links, creating content for your site, and thus, moving upwards in the search engines.

start your own blog and rss feed and keep your content hungry visitors (and search engines) extremely happy with everchanging information.

The easiest way for you to create content, is to write articles and ezines about something you truly like, are interested in, and have a good knowledge in. Then you just create a website to supplement all of your content.
